Really enjoyed my time with Jesus and a portrait model he provided. Even though it rained on and off during our session, we all made the best of it. Jesus was very methodical about the process of taking a portrait, he made sure the model and I got a good connection and I got the pictures to show for it. Great photo lesson!

I have a small California poppy field in my back garden, which I enjoy photographing from many angles, particularly when the bees are busy gathering pollen here and there. One evening I found these two poppies in the waning sunshine against a darkened fence. They seemed to be saying goodnight to the evening sun.

On a crisp February afternoon I went for a walk along Pine Canyon Nature Walk in nearby Walnut Creek, CA. The creek was running full, bubbling and swirling in delightful patterns, and creating beautiful reflections of oak trees. Along with the gentle creek burbling, I heard the croaks of many tiny frogs and the hoot hoot of a Great Horned Owl.

This was the day of famous Northern Lights visible in most of the North America. Stubs Stewart is the most ideal dark area for star gazing so I reached there around 11pm. As expected, it was full of enthusiasts. The lights were predicted to be at peak between 10pm - 2am. Around 2pm, when we though the "show was over", the lights started getting incredibly bright, and that is when this picture was taken. Interestingly, the lights were bright in some regions and other regions were faded enough to

Last February, I left Sydney with my friends at 6pm to capture the first Milky Way view of 2024. I was very anxious because I saw a lot of clouds on the way, but I was really happy to see clear skies as I passed Newcastle. When we arrived at the lighthouse, fortunately we were the only ones in the group, so we were able to take photos without any disturbance. The lighthouse light, which was not too bright, was very helpful in filming.
